20,00 €AA Files is the Architectural Association School of Architecture's journal of record and the successor to a long line of in-house publications (AA Notes, AA Journal, Arena and Architectural Association Quarterly) that began when the school was founded in 1847. The journal is published twice a year and is distributed to members of the Architectural Association, individual subscribers and a select network of bookshops worldwide.
It is currently edited by Maria Shéhérazade Giudici, who follows Thomas Weaver (2007– 2018), David Terrien (2004–2006), Mark Rappolt (2000– 2003) and Mary Wall (1981–1999).
AA Files 75 features essays by Freya Wigzell, Kristina Jaspers, Claire Zimmerman, Laila Seewang, Roberta Marcaccio, Rebecca Siefert, Shantel Blakely, Francesco Zuddas, Joanna Merwood-Salisbury, Victor Plahte Tschudi, Francisco González de Canales, Ross Anderson, Salomon Frausto, Theo Crosby, Marco Biraghi and Zoë Slutzky, together with a personal reminiscence by Nigel Coates and a conversation between Thomas Daniell and Shin Takamatsu.
