One book. Thirteen mountain huts. Hundreds of kilometers. Countless untold stories from the High Tatras.
This book collects small accidents, big legends, and quiet moments from life inside Tatra mountain huts. From a pope’s secret visit to a hutkeeper’s logic, from strange traditions on icy peaks to stories you won’t find on trail signs. Written by journalist Samo Marec, who literally grew up around these huts. Illustrated with original photos by Jakub Čaprnka, drawings by Ivana Čobejová, and one custom illustration for each hut by Adrián Mach. This is the expanded re-edition, with four new chapters on Polish huts added to the mix.
