The Desert Club

“The Desert Club” tells the story of a photographer crossing the desert who, in a particular situation, finds himself unable to translate into images what this experience evokes within him. He returns to this space and attempts, through a device oscillating between fiction and documentary, to show that the visual representation of this desert-born feeling is both authentic and artificial, at once real and staged, superficially communicable yet fundamentally impossible to convey in its depth.
The project unfolds as a narrative that is both real and imagined, where the language of
images reveals the desert as an ambivalent space, both a visual spectacle and a profound existential experience.
