Creative Kit zine is inspired by children’s cut-out magazines, which typically featured sets of clothes and accessories, as well as airplanes and cars. In this zine, you will find a collection of road signs gathered from the streets of Bratislava.
Nearly every page of the zine contains motivational or supportive messages — AI interpretations of what road signs might say if you asked them for advice, in the hope of applying it to your own life.
This serves as an illustration of how AI strives to please you in response to any question, while AI-generated content has become so abundant that it ultimately turns flat, repetitive, and blends into one impersonal, universal motivational message that is not always clearly about anything at all.
This zine offers you to gently build your life by yourself, drawing upon your own interpretation and utilizing your own creative toolkit.
Work on the zine began during the course “Fundamentals of Photography. Magic Lantern” at the Docdocdoc School (Russia, St. Petersburg) in the summer of 2025. The project was also shaped by feedback from the curators of the Pole Zreniya School (Russia, Moscow).
Creative Kit is my debut work in the zine format. It is also dedicated to Bratislava — a city I arrived in while feeling lost and searching for answers to many questions, and which became an important place for me, bringing significant changes to my life.
