'Deep Fried Feels' is a memetic exploration of today’s interconnected crises - or “polycrises,” as coined by economist Adam Tooze - mapping the chaotic complexity of our world. Clusterduck transforms low-quality “poor images” from the internet’s fringes into high-resolution works while mimicking the distortions of traditional “fried” memes. These hyper-saturated images reflect the dissonance of online existence, each meme or character embodying collective emotions - “feels” - triggered by local and global crises. Chapter by chapter, Deep Fried Feels examines urgent issues like the attention economy and data loss, challenging cultural gentrification and seeking spaces of resistance and dissonance in the digital age.
