Issue #48 is driven by a simple belief: excellence still matters. Opening with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails, the central dossier acts as an unofficial Peel It Back tour book — part archive, part memorabilia. Through conversations with Reznor, Ross, and creative director Todd Tourso, the issue traces the band’s history via their setlist and examines how Nine Inch Nails’ ideas became some of the most reused — and misunderstood — in contemporary culture. Elsewhere, Deftones and their cult following are captured in Sacramento, Blackhaine reflects on the body and movement in Blackpool, and Jil Sander’s long-lost villa is reconstructed through a 1998 Bruce Weber shoot.
The issue continues with sharp cultural detours: Gottfried Helnwein on Donald Duck and fascism, Natasha Poly photographed inside 032c Gallery, new-generation models, Nike’s Beaverton headquarters, and essays on music, fashion, performance, and power. The X-Files section celebrates the figures shaping the 032c universe — from Raf Simons to Mark Leckey — while the Berlin Review closes the issue with a curated selection of essential reads. A dense, considered snapshot of culture, creativity, and the people pushing it forward.
032c is the bi-annual culture magazine covering art, fashion and politics, which has reached something of cult-status since its inception. Founded by Joerg Koch in 2000 in Berlin, 032c has been hailed for its in-depth retrospectives on designers and artists, and thought provoking journalism coupled with glossy photo shoots by A-list photographers.
